Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 June 2026
This policy explains what personal data namepop (namepop.eu) collects, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the GDPR.
1. Who is responsible
namepop is the controller of your personal data. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@namepop.studio.
2. What we collect
- Order details — the name and design options you choose, and the preview image and print file we generate from them.
- Contact & delivery details — your name, email address, shipping address and phone number, collected at checkout so we can fulfil and ship your order.
- Payment data — handled directly by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (such as the amount and the country), but we never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data — anonymous, aggregated analytics about how the site is used (see Cookies below).
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To perform our contract with you — to take payment, produce your order and ship it, and to provide support. (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b))
- Legitimate interests — to operate and secure the site, prevent fraud, and understand usage through privacy-friendly analytics. (Art. 6(1)(f))
- Legal obligations — to keep records we are required to keep, such as for tax and accounting. (Art. 6(1)(c))
4. Who we share it with (processors)
We only share data with service providers who help us run namepop, under appropriate data-processing terms:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google Cloud — hosting and storage of orders and files (hosted in an EU region).
- Plausible Analytics — cookieless, anonymised website analytics (EU-hosted).
We do not sell your personal data. Some providers (e.g. Stripe) may process data outside the EEA under appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
We keep order and contact data for as long as needed to fulfil your order and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Design files are kept only as long as needed to produce and support your order.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our analytics (Plausible) is cookieless and does not track you across sites or build a profile of you, so we do not show a cookie banner. The Stripe checkout, hosted on Stripe's own domain, may set cookies necessary for secure payment.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@namepop.studio. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Payment details are handled by Stripe over encrypted connections and are never stored on our servers.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published here with its date.
